Joe Kester celebrates Grand Slam! Joe Kester (center) a long-time member of the Augusta County Chapter NWTF, celebrated an amazing feat recently. Three generations of the Kester Family, all avid hunters, shared with Joe in the completion of his "Grand Slam". A Grand Slam includes harvesting four of the six sub-species of wild turkeys. This amazing feat was accomplished just days shy of Joe's 87th birthday! Congratulations Joe!!!

On May 30, 2009, District 25 Officer Daniel Ross obtained 60 warrants on two individuals related to the illegal killing of wild turkeys in Charlotte County. Officer Ross' investigation began as a result of information provided to him for the past several years.
